At the Chalfton Street Apartments, the initial design work hadn't accounted for an acoustic system at all, leaving the team to find a retrofit solution that could work within the constraints already set.
With construction underway and height limitations locked in, there was no room for a bulky build-up. The solution needed to be slim, practical, and fully compliant with G6 acoustic requirements, without undoing any of the work already completed onsite.
Phonestar Lite ticked every box. Its thin profile slotted seamlessly into the existing build-up, and its compatibility with a range of floor coverings meant different areas of the project could achieve G6 compliance without requiring any changes to completed works.
The result was a clean, cost-efficient retrofit that brought the building up to code and proved that even when acoustics come late to the conversation, the right product can still deliver the right outcome.
