A new apartment development sought to feature exposed CLT ceilings while also meeting G6 building code regulations.
The brief: | Minimise impact noise between hotel room floors. |
Structural floor type: | Concrete |
Product used: | GenieMat RST10 |
GenieMat RST10 was specified by the acoustic consultant on the Disneyland Hotel, Shanghai project as a means to reduce the impact noise heard between vertically adjacent hotel bedrooms.
GenieMat RST10 was placed directly under the hard surface floor finish. This allowed a significantly thinner screed to be used and allowed excellent floor-to-ceiling heights.
