Soundproofing for Walls

Plan your install. PhoneStar sheet sizes are 1200 x 800mm. For best results, ensure the boards are a firm fit, as gaps will reduce the product's effectiveness.

PhoneStar can be cut with a saw or knife. All cut edges must be sealed with PhoneStar tape. Make sure to hold untaped boards level to event sand spilling out.

PhoneStar is fixed to walls using standard drywall screws. After installation, seal any gaps with an acoustic sealant before lining the final wall covering. 

The simplest and most space efficient option. It achieves significant sound transfer reduction while minimising thickness and installation complexity. Add an extra layer of PhoneStar for further noise reduction.

Apply PhoneStar directly to the existing wall and cover with a layer of plasterboard.

Decoupling or separating the sound control system from the wall gives higher performance than a direct-to-wall fix. Suitable for new and existing walls.
